Julian Assange executed?

It has been almost a week since anyone has seen or heard from Julian Assange. His Internet connection was deliberately severed by the Ecuadorian embassy over the weekend in an apparent attempt to keep Assange from influencing the USA elections after Wikileaks released the content of Hillary Clinton’s private (paid) speeches to wealthy banking corporations. At the same time that the world lost contact with Assange, 3 cryptic messages were tweeted which many have come to believe are the result of a ‘dead man’s switch’ that was activated after he was captured/killed.  Wikileaks have confirmed that contingency plans have been set into motion. Since Assange has been silenced several more email leaks have been published, almost daily, by others in the Wikileaks organisation.

Concerned for his safety I decided to do a Grand Tableau reading on the whereabouts of Julian Assange. I wanted to know: what has happened to him?

Before laying down the spread I charged the Man card (28) to represent Assange, the Woman card (29) to represent Hillary Clinton (aka the establishment) and the House card (4) to represent the Ecuadorian embassy where Assange has been arbitrarily detained for more than 4 years under the protection of asylum.

Using the ‘chaining’ technique I came to this alarming conclusion:

assange

Charged card: 4 – House (as embassy)
House>Sun>Ring>Fish>Woman>Garden>Birds>Whip>Scythe>Coffin>Snake>
Clouds>Tree>Paths>Moon>Cross

Embassy>success>commitment>resources>Clinton>publicity>emails>repetition>
executed>end>treacherous>veiled>branch out>departure> reputation>sacrificed.

Based on the above it seems the Ecuadorian embassy’s continued success depends on their commitment and resources linked to the US government; this position is threatened by the publicity of the Clinton emails. To prevent a repetition of further email publications the embassy severed Assange’s (Internet) connection. Furthermore the embassy may have turned a blind eye to Assange’s execution, being careful to veil their treachery. (If this turns out to be accurate we can expect much smoke screening on the part of the embassy.) We see too that the release of Wikileaks publications has ‘branched out’ – as a result of Assange’s departure. His reputation and sacrifice however live on.

Charged card: 29 – Woman (as Hillary Clinton aka the establishment)

Woman>Garden>Birds>Whip>Scythe>Coffin>Snake>Clouds>Tree>Paths>
Moon>Cross>House>Sun>Ring>Fish

Clinton>public>emails>repeat>cut/punish>end/death>dangerous/venomous>smoke & mirrors>health>split/detour>reputation>sacrifice>White House>success>relationship/s>money

From the above I conclude that Clinton is concerned that her public position would be undermined by the email leaks, especially if the leaks continue. To prevent this a decision was made to amputate Assange’s efforts (by cutting his internet access) and to measure out swift punishment possibly resulting in his death. She sees Assange as dangerous, fearing future leaks could penetrate the smoke & mirrors surrounding her health issues which could result in a split in her path to the White House as health revelations could irreversibly damage her reputation resulting in her being ‘sacrificed’ instead of sworn into office. She believes that ending the leaks (and therefore Assange) will result in her successfully entering the White House, a path that has been paved by her relationships (connections) to money (corporations?)

Charged card: 28 – Man (as Julian Assange)

Man>Tower>Stork

Assange>prison>relocate

This short chain suggests that Assange was moved from the embassy, whether dead or alive.

There is much more that can be read in this spread. The first 3 cards open the reading with Key (33) Mice (23) and Child (13). A solution to the loss of innocence. This fits well with the intent behind Wikileaks – to expose the guilty in their corruption and theft. The last 4 cards (a summary) of the reading are: Bouquet (9), Ring (25), Book (26), Moon (32). Gifting us with his commitment to the truth (unveiling secrets) is how he will be known and remembered.

I sincerely hope that I am wrong, that my interpretation is off. I cannot however shake the feeling that Assange’s enemies have done away with him while the embassy turned a blind eye. Any deeper insight or clarity into this reading will be happily received in the comments.

Grey’s Anatomy Tarot Reflections

sixcups-horz

(Fenestra Tarot Deck – by Chatriya – Oct 31, 2006)

One of my daily routines is to turn on netflix and watch Grey’s Anatomy while sipping my coffee. Today I was watching Season 7, Episode 2 and the scene was where a flag football team came into the ER with wounds after being struck by lightning. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to write a short article about it.

Each of the boys from the football team had a huge crush on the only girl on the team. Lucky her right?

After being struck by lightning each boy felt compelled to tell her about their love for her and asked her to marry them.

So here’s this poor girl, sitting in a hospital bed crying her eyes out because the one guy that she actually liked in return was injured so much that he needed surgery, and she was unable to tell him she cared for him. So here she is, blubbering, and there are two boys in the room apologizing for making her cry. They were asking her what they did, and how they could make her feel better.

Holy emotions people !! No wonder why I love this show. It’s full of crazy drama, and I am a woman. 🙂

Anyhow, Lexi Grey, one of the surgical residents spoke up and said, “The poor girl was struck by lightning today! She’s crying because everything changed now. She was just part of the team and everyone was friends, now all the sudden, lightning strikes and her whole world changed as she knew it.” (Well not the exact words, but similar)

What a perfect scene to go along with the spread above. We have the six of cups, representing the team mates as friends. Everything seemed perfect, and everyone was having a good time playing football together. The girl on the team was just one of the “guys.” Then suddenly lightning strikes and everything changes; the tower card. Because of the tower, this girl is now crying in a bed, wishing for everything to go back the way it was before.

In conclusion, Tarot can be read quite easily if one can link time and events to the cards while studying them. Now each time I do a reading, and I see these cards, my memory will be jogged, and I will be able to find meaning in the cards more quickly than if I hadn’t associated these cards with the Grey’s Anatomy scene above. 🙂

Tarot Symbolism: The Fool in the Thoth Tarot

BY JEAN HAMILTON-FFORD

There is a lot of symbolism in the Thoth Tarot deck and it starts with The Fool. The Fool is beginning a journey of self-discovery. He is new and yet, he is the old man of the deck as he is finishing the end of the Universe and initiating a new path. He is the ‘missing link’ that completes the cycle and starts it afresh. Let’s look at this card a little more closely.

The Fool is wearing a diamond on top of his head which represents Kether – the Crown of the Tree of Life. Behind this is a rainbow halo which symbolises the enlightenment that Kether provides. He has yellow skin which is the colour of Air, the attribute associated with him. His yellow horns signify creative force and his yellow shoes signify the Sun, the creative light of life. He wears a green tunic and tights. Green is the colour of the fertile Earth. He wears the symbol of the Sun at his root chakra and this not only signifies the creative potential of the genitals, it also represents base human consciousness like a newborn babe. He holds in his left hand what looks to be like a pinecone on fire, a firebrand that travels over his head to meet the cup he holds in his right hand. This cup has a pyramid base and a bowl. He is emptying the contents onto the ground. The firebrand signifies creative fire, the pyramid base is the male phallus and the bowl is the female womb.

Behind the Fool is a background of yellow diamonds. Yellow is the colour of Air and the diamonds tie this to Kether. An arrangement of flowers can be seen between the Fool’s legs. One is a white rose, the other four are lilies. The infants below the flowers represent the ‘solar twins’ found in the Lovers and the Sun. A rainbow-hued spiral circles three times around the fool. This is attached to his heart chakra and is the link between the higher and lower energies of the chakra system.

A dove, vulture and butterfly fly towards the Fool’s heart. The dove,  the female symbol of Venus and the male influence of Yod (20 rays of light), is thus a hermaphrodite, and signifies the descent of spirit to matter. The vulture represents Mut, the Egyptian Mother-goddess, the creator of all things. The butterfly represents the soul and the symbol of Air. This represents the soul entering the unborn babe in the womb. The Fool is, like a newborn babe, trusting and full of potential.

There is a strange image on the spiral over the Fool’s left rib cage. It looks like it has pinecone head and the body of a caduceus supported by the blade of a sword. The caduceus and the sword are symbols of air. The pinecone suggests a Thyrsus, the staff of Dionysus, a symbol of creative energy.

The grapevine that sprouts from the Fool’s heart chakra ties this figure to Bacchus and Dionysus. Suspended from this grapevine is a bag of coins. The symbols on the coins are for the planets and the zodiac and represent the powers potentially available for the Fool to use.

Finally, a tiger and a crocodile are apparent near the base of this image. The tiger represents Leo. The color is reddish-yellow and this represents the world of Assiah (action – one of the four worlds associated with the Tree of Life). The crocodile is the symbol of Saturn, the devourer and a carryover from the Universe, the end of which the Fool takes on as he initiates a new cycle.

I know, there is a lot to this Fool! He is initiating a journey of discovery and growth. He is a newborn, trusting and full of potential.

Tarot Symbolism: Knight of Swords – a surprising discovery

I made a revealing discovery on the Knight of Swords card yesterday, using the Universal Waite deck. A card that has ‘disturbed’ me for the longest time because something felt ‘off.’ In contrast to the other 3 knights he has always seemed less controlled somehow, as if he could easily fly off the handle. Thus the feeling that he sometimes rushes in where angels fear to tread.

The Knight of Swords has often come up in my readings when there is a volatile relationship under discussion. He has represented the abusive husband, the hot-tempered young man, and the person who leaps in before he thinks.

The discovery I made opened my eyes to the reason the Knight of Swords is often so angry and out of control of his emotions. On his horse’s bridle is a small, but clear, perfectly shaped red heart! Informing me that this Knight is led by his emotions rather than reason. It explains why he is so quick to anger and seemingly not in control of his reactions. He allows his emotions to lead him, instead of following reason. His emotional immaturity often causes him to overreact which is not really what I would have expected from a Knight in the realm of Reason (Swords.)

I feel that I understand this Knight a little better than I had before, I  feel less judgmental and  more compassionate towards him  since  making this discovery.

The “Secret Path” technique

This technique works with associations and can add a completely new dimension to your readings. The secret path is the path that connects two or more cards to one another in any reading, and works well when more information is required than what seems to be immediately available.

To do this you should choose a card from your deck, any card will do. Find a specific feature in your chosen card, this could be an obvious feature, or something more obscure.  Then search through the rest of your deck for cards with the same or similar features; it could be that you are picking up on a similar emotional response or intuitive response, or perhaps it is a symbol, or a facial expression; in fact it could be anything that shares a connection with the original card. This second card will offer additional and clarifying messages to your reading.

In The Amberstone’s book ‘Tarot Tips,’ they further expand on this technique by suggesting that there are several secret paths to explore in this technique. One is the Visual Secret Path in which you closely examine the details of your chosen card. What grabs your attention? It might be a colour, a piece of clothing etc  [Read more…]

Close Examination: Ace of Swords

When my tarot teacher instructed me to do a ‘close examination’ of the Ace of Swords and to write an insanely long chapter on my findings, I was stumped! No interpretations were allowed at this point, only a recording of exactly what I saw. What could I possibly find in the card that could fill up all those pages I wondered?

He’s been teaching this course for many years, so when he told (a disbelieving) me to look, I looked, and this is what I found:  [Read more…]
