30 Day Lenormand Challenge – Day 18
Today’s question is:
Do you think the cards have a life of their own? How do you connect with them?
Whilst I deeply respect the systems of tarot and Lenormand, I am mindful that the cards themselves are no more than 78 or 36 illustrated pieces of cardboard. It is probably for this reason that I don’t get all hung up about people touching my cards or any number of other ‘sins’ that upset some readers. Having said that, certainly in the case of tarot, my cards are a symbolic language between the spirit world and I. This connection is something I deeply cherish. However, the connection is not the cards themselves. Even without the cards the connection would still be there.
With Lenormand, because I am still a ‘newby’ at reading these, I have not yet developed a significant connection – certainly not to the extent that I have with tarot. I am approaching Lenormand very differently to tarot, because it IS very different. I do not know what to expect in time to come, perhaps I will develop a significant connection with these cards too. I certainly hope so 🙂
I have not got on-board with the Lenormand yet, I started briefly last year but had to put it aside for a while.Your posts on the Lenormand are excellent Rootweaver, and are bringing the day when I resume these cards closer. Many thanks for sharing your experiences.
Hi Spike! Thanks for your comment. I am glad that I am playing some small part in luring you to the ‘other side.’ 😉
